The Manor House
School of Cape Cod was founded to provide individualized, comprehensive
programming based on Best Practices for students diagnosed with
Autism Spectrum Disorder. Key elements of Best Practices include
extended
day, extended year programs using the principles of Applied Behavior
Analysis (ABA), which are typically unavailable in the public
school
setting*. Additionally, an intensive, research-based teaching
methodology such as ABA that is implemented at an early age maximizes
a student’s
ability to access the mainstream curriculum and interact with
peers. The ultimate goal for all students is that they become as
independent
and productive as possible**.
* Federal law requires schools to provide services to children with
disability based on peer-reviewed research to the extent practicable
(20 U.S.C. §1414(d)(1)(A)(IV).
